If you have already skied the major resorts of Europe and North America and are looking for something a little different, why not consider North Iceland – one of the last “undiscovered” ski regions and one which offers solitude, tranquility and great downhill runs?winter ski akureyri

The holidays start from, or are based in, the towns of Akureyri or Húsavík, both of which can be reached by air from Reykjavík (airport transfers included) so, depending on the time of your international flight, you may need to include a night in the capital at either end. If you are lucky, an added bonus could be the appearance of the magical Northern Lights.
