Iceland Traveller is an independent, UK-based, family-run company and we have been organising holidays to Iceland for more than 10 years. To see what our clients say about us, please click here.
Whether you are travelling alone, with family or friends, or have a special interest you wish to develop, we can tailor-make tours to suit you. We visit the country frequently (our Director Julia Jones has been 10 times in the last two years!), keeping up-to-date with the latest things to see and do and researching new and unusual activities. We use knowledgeable and experienced local tour guides who will ensure you get the most out your trip.
We know that the expectations of our clients, although high, are rarely the same. We pride ourselves in our attention to detail, ensuring we understand exactly what you want from your holiday so that we can create an itinerary that takes you where you want to go, at the pace you choose and within your budget.
If you can manage only a short break, we will ensure you make the most of your stay but, if you can spare the time, we strongly recommend a longer, slower visit. Of course, everyone should see the capital Reykjavík, take a Golden Circle tour and relax in the Blue Lagoon but there is so much more to the country and we aim to provide a more immersive way to experience all that Iceland has to offer.
Whether you want to drive, be driven, hike, ride or raft through the country, stay in a hotel, hostel, guesthouse, apartment, farm, school or tent, we can arrange travel and accommodation to suit you. You can eat like a local or much as you would at home.
If you have a special interest, for example geology, photography, horse-riding, fishing or hiking, that you would like to pursue – either as the focus of your holiday or to include in a more general sight-seeing programme – we would be happy to arrange that for you with one of our recommended providers.
In addition, we offer package holidays, some of which we have created ourselves, others have been selected from those organised by our Icelandic partners. These are highlighted on our website.
We also cater for youth groups and school parties with – or without – a geography focus.
Please note that, if VAT rates or tourist taxes are altered, we reserve the right to amend our prices accordingly.
As a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA), Iceland Traveller provides 100% protection for client funds and a financial guarantee. It does this through the use of a Trustee bank account into which all client monies are deposited, and through the production of a financial guarantee certificate that is issued at the time of booking. If we book your flights, you will also be protected by our ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence), a national scheme operated by the Civil Aviation Authority which offers protection when you book a holiday with a UK travel company that includes flights as part of the package.
When you have looked at our website, please help us to speed up the process of booking your holiday by giving us as much information as possible on our Detailed Enquiry Form. We will then contact you to begin making arrangements for your trip.
