trio-of-logos-150dpiWe are Iceland specialists! Iceland Traveller is an independent travel company based in the UK. Our dedicated and extremely knowledgeable team likes nothing more than to create wonderful holidays and adventures in Iceland so that our customers can share the experiences that we all enjoy. Between us, we make very regular trips to Iceland to meet our suppliers, stay in our hotels, farm houses and cottages, take part in plenty of activities and explore off the beaten track and into Iceland’s beautiful and silent landscapes. Our dedication to developing specialist knowledge of Iceland has been endorsed by Iceland’s department of tourism. Two of our team, Julia and Anne, have successfully passed their exam and are now certified Inspired by Iceland specialists. We are proud to display the award on the Iceland Traveller website and in our promotional literature.

Gulfoss.spray.summer waterfall golden circle south icelandWe know that the expectations of our clients, although high, are rarely the same.  Iceland really is a destination with something for everyone and so we will make every effort to understand about the kind of holiday that you have in mind, and then introduce you to a whole range of possibilities. It’s an all year round place to visit, there are adventurous activities on offer at any time of year, and equally the opportunity to spend time in more gentle pursuits is every bit as exciting.

Our combined experience and expertise of our team means that we particularly enjoy creating holidays with a special interest, especially for small adult or family groups, schools or youth organisations.   Areas that we focus on include geology, photography, horse-riding, fishing, hiking, craft and knitting – often as the focus of your holiday, and always in the context of creating you and authentic experience of the landscape and culture of Iceland.

North.East.Iceland.VopnafjordurDuring the time that we plan your holiday with you we will find out how you prefer to travel in Iceland. We have the greatest respect for Iceland’s natural elements and we’ll offer you a range of travel options. In our view, and from our feedback, we consider that travelling with a qualified guide for some or all of your holiday makes a great difference to the quality of your experience of Iceland. Taking an escorted tour for a day or longer is highly recommended by us, even if you wouldn’t consider this as an option in other destinations. Fly and drive holidays or day tours by air are also a great way to make the best use of your time and allow you to experience even the most remote parts of the country without spending the whole time behind the wheel.

We have great feedback, so see what our clients say about us, please click here. We do not meet the criteria for Trip Advsior so you will not find us listed, but we are about to launch our online reviews with Feefo.
