Fireworks.3New Year’s Eve in Iceland certainly goes with a bang, with fun, fireworks and festivities taking place all around Reykjavík.  If you would like to join the party, Iceland Traveller offers a four or five-night New Year Celebration Break, departing on 29 or 30 December 2016.

Two of our Northern Lights packages, Aurora, Ice and Fire – where New Year’s Eve is spent in Reykjavík – and Northern Lights Budget Break – with New Year spent in the countryside of South Iceland – also offer special departures which include festive dining and celebrations.

If you would like to spend Christmas in Iceland, we would be happy to arrange that for you but please be aware that, with the locals involved in their own festivities, many places are closed on 24 and 25 December so do ask us for information about where will be open.
