We are packing our bags again for the start of our 2017 adventures to Iceland. In January, it’s the annual travel trade event organised by Iceland’s national airline, Iceland Air. At this Mid-Atlantic trade show, we have some 40-50 business appointments scheduled and will be meeting up with old friends to hear about their new ventures and experiences, and making new contacts with companies too remote in Iceland for us to visit easily ourselves. puffins close up nature cultureSo excited about the people who will guide you by kayak across a fjord to stay in a remote but renovated and comfortable farmhouse to enjoy long summer nights, the wild birds and stunning coastline. We will find out more about the hotel building a new spa facility in a lava field and another that’s opening its doors to school and youth groups, with accommodation that provides meeting rooms and plenty of space for activities in the evenings. We are also taking day trips to the Westman Islands (by air) and to North West Iceland to better familiarise ourselves with these areas and to meet local suppliers and producers that are there.  Can’t wait!

At last year’s event, we visited North East Iceland and look how that turned out!
